My son is taking oral suspension cipro and each time it makes him have a worse coughing episode after swallowing. The coughing makes him throw up and I am afraid of aspiration. I shook the medicine and gave it correctly and wonder if the suspension is irritating his bronchial tubes. He is taking it for a bladder infection and not a respiratory problem.
